![]() Just 1 thing. Do you believe it? Do just 1 thing for a great golf swing? Isn't that a bit too hopeful? Surely if you went to a Golf Pro you would get a whole series of lessons, wouldn't you? Not just 1 thing. How on earth will 'just 1 thing' make any substantial difference? How can an online golf swing suggestion make any difference? Is it smoke and mirrors, a trick? Actually, yes, it is a trick and you are going to play it on yourself. You are going to play the trick on your conscious mind and that is going to allow your golf swing to happen as it should. Think this swing thought throughout your whole golf swing - HOLD THE GOLF SWING FINISH HIGH. That's it, that's the 1 thing. I picked this lesson up from a golfer who had really struggled with her golf. She considered that if she knew what the golf swing should look like at the finish, then everything else would be taken care of to get the swing to that point. She said she couldn't think fast enough to cope with all the other things she had been told to do. Her swing thought was "Hollywood Finish, Hollywood Finish" over and over again. This lady plays off the men's tees and for cash. She took mine very easily. How does it work? If you think 'hold the golf swing high at the finish' throughout the whole swing, you will have let your sub-conscious mind do its job. Take the club back, then forwards through the ball position with reasonable force. You will not have been able to think all the sabotaging thoughts.. Your body will work at its very best for you. It will have navigated itself around those old injuries, that one leg shorter than the other. That's the important stuff your sub-conscious mind takes care of, your conscious mind doesn't factor in or does at the expense of everything else. Thinking the swing thought has given the conscious mind some work to do and it will go do it with extreme enthusiasm. You will end up in that position of holding the golf club high over your target side shoulder, and you will be looking straight down the flight path of the golf ball. That's where your golf swing should finish up, your sub-conscious will be pretty much delivering you those results, if it is left alone to do so. Will that alone produce a great swing, a great game? No, it will sure help your swing, but to play great golf takes a bit more than 1 thing. If that great golf swing is made with the wrong golf club selection or pointing in the wrong direction, then the ball will go where you don't want it to. Now that's not helpful to playing good golf. The golf swing is important and together we will look into the many aspects of it. We'll also look at the other stuff which will make the whole game simple and get great golf results. Good golf is easy to play, bad golf takes a lot of effort, is frustrating and exhausting. Let's play easy, good golf. borrowed from http://undercoveragent.hubpages.com/hub/Do-just-1-thing-for-a-great-golf-swing

This is a clever, simple device to keep your arms together during the golf swing. Ben Hogan said this was critical to swing properly. The developer of this device came up with a simple sollution - a shirt with one sleeve that will handle both arms. Smart and inexpensive.

The following are two different swing techniques: Feel verses Technical: The first is a Feel Swing: This golf swing has a lot of motion during the entire swing. The lower body is in full motion during the down swing and relies on your ability to control and coordinate all that motion so that it meets up at the ball at the right time. An example of a Feel Golfer is John Daly. We believe this swing type is by far the most difficult type of swing to master and for the most part cannot be taught. Certainly great golfers have feel, but we believe it is a natural gift that great golfers develop over time. Technical Swing: This swing has very limited lower body motion. That doesn’t mean that you don’t take a full swing, just that your lower body, starting with your feet, doesn’t fire, jump and push ahead of your upper body. This swing is a controlled swing. It looks effortless. It looks Quiet. This is the type of swing you have seen and you might have said to the golfer ”I can’t believe how smooth your swing is and how far you still hit the ball”. An example of a Technical Golfer is Mike Weir. As a left handed golfer, his left heel is still on the ground or less than an inch off the ground at impact of ball, even when he hits his driver. If you really think about it, you cannot slide, dive or turn your lower body with your heel still on or close to the ground at impact of ball. (right heel for right handers and left heel for left handers). This type of swing is far easier to duplicate under pressure and when done correctly creates far more power, which means distance. The science behind Quite Golf is solid. By driving at the ball starting with your upper body, leaving your feet flat on the ground, leave your right heel on the ground longer (right handers), powering thru the ball and simply turning the right foot after impact, not pushing off the right foot and sliding the hips to the left, you will create the power and accuracy you have been looking for. Not to get too scientific but power is created by resistance, compression and velocity. By staying connected to the ground and eliminating all the unnecessary motion that most golfer mistakenly think is important, accuracy and power is created. When you combine QUIET GOLF and the Krank Golf Drivers, which is the highest ball speed and lowest spin driver made, all your driving dreams will come true. The following is a step-by-step overview of what we call QUIET GOLF. 1. Use 2 ¾ inch tees barely put in ground. 2. Tee up ball forward in stance at left heel or toe. (Right handed golfers) 3. Put outside of feet at shoulder width. 4. Straighten right foot. Do not toe out right foot. Left foot is OK to toe out a little. 5. Take club straight back, low and slow. 6. Initiate down swing at the ball with your upper body, leaving your feet flat on the ground. 7. At impact of ball your left shoulder should feel a little shrugged to help you keep square to the target and your right heel should be on the ground or no more than one inch off the ground. Remember we are trying to eliminate pushing off the right foot, which causes your hips and lower body to slide prematurely to the left during your down swing. 8. Keep your head and chin down at impact. 9. Finish with simply turning your right foot, by squashing the bug, not pushing off the right toe. 10. Your finish position should be balanced. Finish pretty. Most Teaching Pros talk about getting to your left side. Be careful not to get too far to your left side. Finish with your left hip on top or a little back from you left foot. Not out in front of your left hip. The more you slide your hips to the left during your swing the more difficult it will be to hit straight and long. Oversliding your hips is what makes 95% of all golfers SLICE the ball. You can put that in the bank! Give it a try. It really is simple. Related articles
When I use the single plane swing, based on Moe Norman’s swing, I hit the ball well consistently. I certainly don’t have the finesse to achieve the scores that I’d like, but I’m happy with what I can do. Todd Graves studied under Moe Norman and teaches Moe’s single plane swing. Watch this video and you’ll understand not only why the single plane swing makes more sense, but is easier on your body. |
